PETA dresses up as the KKK in downtown New York.



I can no longer support anything that PETA does. I would ask all of you who are involved in animal rights on my F-List to call them out and ask the organizations you support (hopefully not PETA) to do the same. They have a history of disregard for anyone or anything not animal rights related, and they drive people like me away from wanting to help at all.

PETA is a group of crazy extremists. Much like other groups of crazy extremists who have an agenda on one singular issue, they fail to see any connections between their issue and other issues, or what consequences their actions might have.

Seriously, WTF? I don't get it. Are they really trying to compare selective breeding and the KKK? In what world could that possibly seem rational?

They are saying that the AKC's pure-breed concept is like the KKK's desire to "Keep the white race pure." The link is some what theoretically there, but lacks many of the other things that makes the KKK's ideology so virulent and horrible. At this point though, I'm totally unwilling to listen to their message on any subject. Dressing up like the KKK isn't cute, isn't funny, shows a complete lack of their own privilege.
