This is not safe for work, and is possibly triggering.

Not going to warn you twice. How is this advertising? Seriously?
http://www.feministe.us/blog/archives/2008/12/11/most-disturbing-ad-of-the-year/. This is the same type of crap that Pirelli pulled earlier, and I should have linked.

Why do people thing that images that seem to be glorifying violence or exploitation of women are the appropriate message to send about their company?

I think they were going for the message "you'll knock 'em dead in our clothes." Not justifying it, just trying to figure out what they were thinking. Of course, I've always found fashion ads beyond "look at the model in our clothes" to be stupid at best.

As for the Pirelli calender picts... I got nothing. Seriously, what the fuck? What's wrong with the old "pretty girl laying on pretty car" calenders that auto industry used to hand out? Yeah, they're sexist, but compared to that?

Well, at leat the fashion ad was done artistically and the observer could be fairly confident that it was staged.

The Pirelli pictures looked like they were taken at an African gang bang.

I'm at work now.

But I emailed the links to myself to view and comment on later.

What the fuck?

I mean, seriously, where was either of those ads going? Disgust isn't generally accompanied by a desire to purchase.

well, the Perelli thing was actually a calendar that they give out to big clients. I'm not sure if that makes it worse or better.
